Beach Cala Llombards
Fine White sand beach, turquoise water, sheltered bay - Cala Santanyi llombards south of the southeast of Majorca has to offer, what you expect from a dream beach. Therefore, the 55 meters long and 150 meters deep bay is often overcrowded with tourists and locals alike and summer.
The actually very lively east coast of Mallorca, in which hotels, restaurants and partially crowded beaches strung together, however, provides for those vacationers who like it rather more tranquil, isolated and heavenly acting coves, such as the enchanting bay of Cala Llombards. This is tucked away in the southeast of the island of Mallorca and is part of the municipality of Santanyi. This beautiful beach has fine white sand and crystal clear water. The beach is even in midsummer usually not crowded and there are excellent opportunities for snorkeling, especially along the rocks. On the beach there and a bar. Sun loungers and parasols can be rented for a fee. Parking is available at the beach The beach of Playa llombards is about 150 meters long and up to 55 meters wide. The Playa is formed by the confluence of the torrent Son Amer. The white sandy beach stretches for many meters in a pine forest in and is surrounded by the sea of jagged rocks. Present is a beach bar, beach guards, toilets. The water in the bay is turquoise blue and clean. The sheltered bay offers some low, gently sloping ground without high waves. One of the peculiarities of Cala Llombards is the wonderful vantage point on the mythical geological formation it PONTAS (which means big bridge), an eroded by waves rock that looks like a bridge in the sea. Furthermore, the half-dozen fall on escars that have driven the fishermen in the rock walls to storing their boats. The approach is simple; the car can be parked for free in the large car park at the beach. In contrast, there is no way to get there by bus. From Cala Llombards you can go on excursions in the villages and towns of the environment, for example by Caló des Moro on a non-marked path through rock walls and through scrubland.
