The Chamber of Architects North Rhine-Westphalia held every two years, a so-called "island of Congress": an international conference architects, to the presenters and participants in the tranquil seclusion of an island invites. Obviously, the various aspects of sustainability also from the different perspectives - the focus is naturally on the environmental challenges facing the architects.
The program of the Congress could also three bus and booked Fußtouren, where art, architecture and coastline of the island will be explored. The (architectural) diversity of Insehauptstadt, the differences between mass tourism and "sustainable tourism" and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art are the goals.
